At PG&E, we're focused on California's future. We have a wide range of scholarships to help the next generation succeed and innovate in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) majors, and other disciplines.

PG&E Employee Resource Group and Engineering Network Group Scholarships
Eligibility guidelines
Applicants for ALL scholarships listed below must:
- Be a high school senior or graduate, have received GED certification or be an undergraduate or postsecondary undergraduate student. Veterans and adults returning to school are encouraged to apply.
- Have a primary residence that is a PG&E customer in California at the time of application.
- Plan to enroll full time in an accredited college or university in the fall.
The ERG and ENG scholarships below are supported in part by PG&E and through fundraising and contributions made by members of these coworker groups and fellow coworkers. These groups bring our coworkers together and also provide an essential bridge of communication to our diverse customers. Each group awards scholarships to students who have shown commitment to specific communities or causes.
ERG or ENG scholarships do not have gender or race requirements. Students are encouraged to apply to more than one or all eligible scholarships.

![]() | $6,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors and community college transfer students*) PrideNetwork fosters shared success by supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally employees in achieving their full potential, and our local communities. All majors are eligible. Applicants must have demonstrated service to the LGBT+ community. Applicants of all sexual orientations and gender identities are eligible. PLEASE NOTE: PrideNetwork uses a separate application form because their scholarships are awarded through eQuality Scholarship Collaborative. The Collaborative is comprised of several LGBT ERGs, non-profits and individual donors. This scholarship application does not require completion of PG&E's general ERG scholarship application. *PrideNetwork's partners in eQuality Scholarship Collaborative also offer scholarships for medical students. They can apply through the same application form. |

All majors eligible. Encouragement given to STEM or energy-related emphasis. |
![]() | $1,500-$4,000 scholarships (college-bound high school seniors only) This group promotes, develops, and celebrates the community of women working at PG&E. They are active in many nonprofit organizations devoted to professional development, environmental stewardship and women-focused issues. Eligible majors: science, technology, engineering and math majors (STEM) only. Undeclared Majors are not eligible |
Better Together STEM Scholarships
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Foundation is offering Better Together STEM Scholarships of $2,500, $5,000 or $10,000. These are for students pursuing science, technology or engineering studies at universities in California. Students must be California residents and PG&E customers at the time of application.
Applicants for the Better Together STEM Scholarships must:
- Be a high school senior or graduate, have received GED certification or be an undergraduate or postsecondary undergraduate student. Veterans and adults returning to school are encouraged to apply.
- Have a primary residence that is a PG&E customer in California at the time of application.
- Plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student in an eligible STEM field at any accredited four-year college or university in California or a Historical Black College or University (HBCU) for the entire upcoming academic year. The applicant must be pursing their first undergraduate degree.
Eligible majors include:
- Engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, environmental, power and/or energy)
- Computer Science/Information Systems
- Cyber Security
- Environmental Sciences
- Math
- Physics
