Use the weather map
Our meteorology team monitors the weather closely and we share our weather and camera data with the public.
Our live and historical weather station can be accessed using the following public tools

These interactive weather maps contain information on:
- Humidity
- Precipitation
- Temperature
- Wind speeds/gusts*
- Red Flag Warnings
How to use the weather map
Search by location
You can scroll these maps to specific areas to monitor live weather data. You can select any station(s) to view its live or historical information. Much more information can be found in the menu or settings within each map.
*A gust is a rapid fluctuation of wind speed with variations of 10 knots or more. Wind gusts are typically averaged over three to five seconds. Wind speeds are averaged over one to two minutes.
We work with the University of Wisconsin’s Space Science and Engineering Center and Alert California to share our camera and fire-detection data with the public. These tools help communities and first responders track emerging and ongoing fire events.
Use the Alert California map to view live camera data and satellite fire detection data to monitor fires in your area.
The tool includes information such as:
- Live camera data from over 600 PG&E-sponsored cameras
- Satellite fire detections from multiple satellites
- Recent fire perimeters
- Administrative units
On the map, use the layer tool in the upper right to turn layers on or off.
