Cluster 15 Interconnection Process Request for Information

Resources for Cluster 15 Interconnection Queue Participants

Overview

Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s Wholesale Electric Power Procurement team (“PG&E”) is issuing this Interconnection Process Request for Information (“IP RFI”) in order to participate in the California Independent System Operator Corporation’s (“CAISO”) load serving entity (“LSE”) Cluster 15 commercial interest point allocation process under CAISO’s pending tariff amendments filed in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) Docket No. ER24-2671 on August 1, 2024.

Point Allocation

PG&E reserves the right to allocate its LSE commercial interest points to Cluster 15 interconnection queue participants at its sole discretion in accordance with the CAISO tariff Appendix KK (Resource Interconnection Standards) and all applicable law.

To participate in PG&E’s IP RFI and potentially receive PG&E’s commercial interest point allocations, Participants must provide documentation to PG&E proving that at minimum the Project has met the following requirements:  (1) at least 90% site control as required by FERC Order No. 2023, (2) transmission plan deliverability (“TPD”) available in the Project’s interconnection zone, and (3) TPD available at the Project’s point of interconnection (“POI”).
