Program details
Take the guesswork out of charging and save with EV Charge Manager. This program, provided by PG&E in partnership with WeaveGrid*, schedules electric vehicle charging when electricity prices and demand are at their lowest.
This will allow for the regular monitoring of circuits in your neighborhood to ensure that you’re charging at a time that will help keep your costs down and reduces strain on your local electric grid.

- Your EV will automatically charge at the lowest cost times to reach your chosen charge level by your specified departure time
*WeaveGrid is the software entity who provides the vehicle/device connection and schedules smart charging service.
Program eligibility
Applicant must:
- Have residential electric service with PG&E
- Reside in Santa Clara, Contra Costa or Alameda County
- Live in a single-family home or detached residence
- Own or lease an eligible Tesla or a supported Level 2 EV charger*
*Currently, this includes:
- The following Teslas
- Cybertruck
- Model 3
- Model S
- Model X
- Model Y
- EVs that use Level 2 Wallbox, ChargePoint or Emporia chargers
Note:
- This program offers varying incentive amounts to participants to understand and compare what features and benefits are most relevant for our customers. The incentive amount you receive when you enroll is set for the duration of the program. You will not be eligible for a higher incentive amount compared to other participating customers. Please review our Financial Incentive Notice (PDF) for more information.
- This program is offered by PG&E. There may be other similar programs offered by local Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs) or other non-utility entities in your area. These programs may have different eligibility requirements, incentives, and terms and conditions. You cannot enroll in this program if you are already enrolled in another EV managed charging program.

EV Charge Manager is a managed charging program that helps EV drivers access valuable benefits, save money and simplify their charging experience.
Simply plug in your EV charger when you are home and WeaveGrid’s charging software will charge your vehicle based on several inputs, including customer preferences, rate type, vehicle battery and grid conditions. All you need to do is set your target battery level and ready-by time and then be sure to plug in every day.

- You will receive a $75 Tango gift card for enrolling in the program**
- It will ensure you charge your EV during off-peak hours when electricity is less expensive
- You will receive insights into your charging habits costs, battery usage and battery efficiency
- Charging during off-peak hours will allow for renewable clean energy sources to be used more often
**Customers must remain enrolled in the program for a minimum of 3 months and must remain connected to WeaveGrid for at least 50% of the time to receive the gift card.
No, WeaveGrid’s software prioritizes your charging for when it’s least expensive, also taking the grid into consideration to protect it from excessive stress during periods of high demand.
