Diablo Canyon hiking trails
Discover two of California's most spectacular hiking trails
It’s no secret that San Luis Obispo County is home to some of the most picturesque coastline in California. From sandy beaches to rugged rocky cliffs, the views along the shoreline make for epic adventures and discovery.
PG&E is proud to be the steward of over 12,000 acres located between Avila Beach and Montaña De Oro State Park just outside of Los Osos. The land surrounds our power plant, Diablo Canyon.
As part of our stewardship practices and commitment to the community, we provide hiking opportunities through two spectacular coastal trails on this land: the Pecho Coast and the Point Buchon Trails.
Through our Land Stewardship Program, PG&E preserves these trails for visitors to see remarkable vistas of California’s central coast in its rugged, natural state.
