Pay online as a registered user or use guest bill pay access with no registration required.
Pay as a registered user
Registered users have the following payment options:
- Pay from a bank account. Free of transaction fees.
- Pay with a credit or debit card. A transaction fee applies.*

Don't have an online account set up? Don’t want to sign in to pay your bill? No problem. Use guest bill pay. No username or password required.

Pay by mail
- Make your check payable to PG&E
- Send it, along with your energy statement remittance stub, to the following address:

Pay in person
Pay your energy statement in person at one of our many authorized neighborhood payment centers.
Give family members or trusted users access to your account.
Digital wallet options (Google Pay, Apple Pay) are only available for immediate payments (i.e., no future dated payments).
- Apple Pay and Google Pay will be unavailable from 5-9 p.m. PST (8 p.m. - 12 a.m. EST) on weekdays and unavailable on weekends or holidays.
- Apple Pay will only be supported on devices running iOS 17 or later.
Never worry about missing a payment again. Set up autopay with a valid credit card, debit card or bank account. Cancel anytime. Autopayments let you:
- Choose when you want your bill to be paid
- Set a maximum payment amount
Payment options:
- Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit or debit card. Card payments require a transaction fee.*
- Bank account. Payments from a checking or savings account do not require any transaction fees.
IMPORTANT! If your payment can’t be processed, your recurring payments will be cancelled. First time cancellations may re-enroll after 30 days.

A payment plan, also known as a payment arrangement, allows you to break up your existing balance into smaller monthly payments.
A due-date extension, also called a payment extension, moves the due date up to 30 days into the future. This allows extra time to pay the balance in full.
Effective June 9, 2025: Bill payment transaction fees have changed.
Avoid fees by signing up for autopay with a checking/savings bank account or by logging in and using the one-time payment option with a checking/savings bank account.
If you pay by phone or use any payment method with guest bill pay, the revised transaction fees below will apply:
Why do I have to pay a transaction fee?
- PG&E has partnered with an independent payment provider.
- This provider allows PG&E customers to pay with a credit or debit card on a guest payment or recurring basis.
- The fees for these payments are set by credit card networks, payment processors and banks—not by PG&E.
- California Assembly Bill 746 restricts PG&E from passing these costs to all customers.
- Only those using this payment service are charged these fees.
- The last fee change occurred in 2017.

Gift payment
Note: For security reasons, we cannot share any of your recipient’s account or balance information.Send your gift payment in three easy steps:
- Download and print the Energy Giving form (PDF).
- Return your completed form and payment.
- Once processed, the recipient will receive an email or letter confirming their gift.

Do not mail cash. Make check payable to PG&E and indicate "Energy Giving Payment" in the memo line.
