  • The Bill Forecast Alert is a free and easy tool to help you better manage your monthly energy bill.
  • It gives you time to reduce your home’s energy use before your next statement arrives if you’re trending to exceed the bill amount you set.
  • Choose to receive the alert by email, text or phone.

  • You'll be alerted if you're expected to exceed that limit.
  • You'll have time to reduce energy and lower it before the next statement arrives.

No news is good news. We do NOT send an alert if you are on budget for the month.

Who is eligible?

Customer eligibility

Eligible: Customers with SmartMeter™

Single-premise customers with a SmartMeter™ are eligible to sign up for the Bill Forecast Alert.

Not eligible: NEM and DA customers

Net Energy Metering (NEM) and Direct Access (DA) customers are NOT eligible to enroll at this time.

Enroll in Bill Forecast Alerts

  1. Sign into your account.
  2. Go to the Energy Alerts preference page.
  3. Select the icon to the left of "Bill Forecast Alert." It will be yellow and say "on" when activated.
  4. Choose to receive your alert by email, text or voice message.
  5. Enter contact information for those you’d like to receive the alert. You can enter a total of four contacts.
  6. Enter your “not-to-exceed” dollar amount.
  7. Save your changes.

  • Who else receives them

Opt out of Bill Forecast Alerts

Unenroll at any time by selecting "off" on the next Bill Forecast Alert. It will appear grey and say "off" when it is not active.
