Past Due Bill Assistance Program

Free help with past due energy bills

About the program

PG&E is offering a FREE program to help customers who are struggling with unpaid energy bills. By joining the program, you will get a case manager to help you:

 

  • Lower or get rid of past due energy bills
  • Avoid service disconnection
  • Manage future energy costs

Eligible customers can join the program until July 9, 2025.

Who is eligible for the program?

PG&E customers who:

  • Live in one of the following zip codes in the city of Bakersfield:
    • 93304
    • 93305
    • 93306
    • 93307 and
  • Have an electric or gas utility bill at least 90 days past due

All income levels can join. Only the first 4,800 customers who sign up can join.

 

important notice Note: Customers who are currently enrolled in PG&E’s Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) cannot join the Past Due Bill Assistance Program.
